Independent reporter again hints at move to Florida days after alleging a hit and run
Geoffrey Rogers generates thousands of views documenting Rochester, NY. New livestream video has emerged which implicates him as the cause of a brutal car crash.
A clip of a recent GSL News live stream on 14 April appears to show CEO Geoffery Rogers audibly revving his engine before a devastating impact caused his airbags to deploy.
Rogers later posted an update concerning the crash and addressed accusations that he was in a road race:
“Unfortunately things like this happen and it’s all life lessons. I will be getting a new car and moving forward from this situation. I will be back reporting on the road in no time. There is a video where you can only see the inside of my car. No I was not racing. I will not further comment on this car accident.”
Audio from the clip appears to demonstrate Rogers revving the engine loudly enough to be heard for 19 seconds before impact.
7 seconds before impact, Rogers appears to intensify the acceleration, and the engine is heard at a much higher RPM rate
Rogers alleged that a “…blue Ford Escape took off with damage to the vehicle.”
Aftermath
Rogers has since posted on the X, formerly Twitter, that his move to the state of Florida is “still happening.”
Rogers is also conducting a poll on the same platform asking, “Should I quit news?”
Some pictures have emerged of the aftermath that appear to confirm the livestream clip’s contents, and vice-versa.
Some social media users have claimed direct contact with those who have been injured as a result of the alleged crash.
Geoffery Rogers has had numerous run-ins with law enforcement stemming from criminal weapons possession, car theft, and numerous traffic violations.
An episode of the Billified podcast, hosted by Jewish producer Bill Moran, recounted parts of Rogers’ sordid history with the law and detailed a days-long joy ride he once enjoyed in an unmarked police car.
Rogers describes using the vehicle to both cover the news and to menace neighborhood bullies.
As of 16 April, GSL News appears to be up and running.
The future of the site and various projects—such as an upcoming documentary and biography of Rogers’ life—remain unconfirmed.
