Webster PD officer - DA Doorley committed 'arrestable offense'
Webster PD were at Monroe Co. DA Sandra Doorley's house on 22 April after attempting a traffic stop. The DA then implied she would use prosecutorial discretion for herself pending any charges.
Sandra Doorley, the district attorney for Monroe County has been ticketed for going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone but is gaining attention for her handling of the situation.
Late on Friday, body camera footage was released showing all parties alleged that Doorley had deliberately ignored the officer’s emergency lights, choosing to drive to her nearby residence instead.
Despite the existence of body camera footage, Doorley released a statement claiming that she “believe[s] in accepting responsibility for my actions and had no intention of using my position to receive a benefit.”
In the body camera footage, Doorley is repeatedly belligerent with the police officers and oft implies nothing will come of any charges or tickets as she will be “the one who's going to prosecute myself.”
Prosecutorial discretion was the same tactic Doorley claimed she would use to increase legal diversions to the benefit of Rochester-area non-Whites (especially Blacks) who commit crimes.
This was done with the help of ‘data’ from Measures for Justice, a Jewish-led criminal justice reform organization ran by George Soros Media fellow, Amy Bach.
Bach also lives in Rochester.
Doorley had ran an anti-Soros campaign the previous election cycle.
For your convenience, we have compiled a list of choice quotes and time stamps from the footage:
